Mike is a wood carver of many years experience, who loves wildlife and so enjoys carving birds. using many different woods, London Plane (Lace wood) being the favourite as it has the perfect grain for bird carvings. Although there are some varieties of birds that he regularly produce due to their popularity - like wrens, robins, blackbirds & great crested grebes - he is always happy to carve a different species. If you don't see a carving of the bird you would like, he will be pleased to take commissions for any bird, or combination of birds. The output is limited as all the work involved in producing a carving - from drawing to the final polish - is done by Mike. |
